As part of my work with the University of Northampton I worked on a number of streams related to the collaboration project, these included
- Recommendations for Teams for Telephony
- Implementing Teams for Meetings
- Recommendations for Senate AV replacements using Teams
- SharePoint migration
Working in a challenging environment I was responsible for completing the following work with my main focus being the recommendations for Teams for telephony.
The work included
- Understanding the current design, configuration and usage of the current telephony services
- Designing a questionnaire to enable the grouping of users into telephony groups and understand high level requirements for telephony
- Deep dive into confirmation and clearing requirements
- Built a Teams for Telephony demonstration covering calling, queues, voice mail aimed at IT Services Senior Leadership Team, Senior Stakeholders
- Importing existing phone numbers from service providers, providing guidance on Microsoft telephony plans and telephony partner communications planning
- Reviewing Microsoft Teams for telephony licensing requirements
- Reviewing telephony partners migration plans and communicating risks, issues to project board with those plans
- Reviewing migration teams resourcing and making recommendations
- Teams for telephony presentations and demonstrations
- Worked with telephony SME and telephony partners to establish a teams for telephony solution, migration and adoption strategies
- Presentations to the project board on a monthly basis
- Working with licensing partner to understand, document and present licensing options
- Working with the telephony SME and partners to establish licensing, usage
- Providing handover and knowledge sharing documentation in order for another Microsoft Gold partner to continue the work
